What do you do when the customer you think you are serving, turns out to be a ghost?
Here is a preview of the story.
“He was not a mist. He looked genuinely like a customer was in the
stare after the close. He had black hair, glasses, was heavyset,
and deathly pale. I realize saying a ghost was pale seems cliché,
but he truly was pale as death. He was blotchy, too, in a strange
way. He had spots of red on his face. To this day, I wonder if that
is from the heart attack. I turned my head towards him, and
thinking he was a customer; I said “sorry sir, the store is closed,
we’d appreciate it if you picked out your final items and headed to
the front,” and as I finished the sentence, he disappeared right in
front of me. After the occurrence that night, I would go on to see
him several more times, or seen rugs pulled out of the shelf that I
had just put away, after hours so I know a customer could not have
done it. I was emptying the trash one night, and with my head down,
I saw a pair of white tennis shoes next to me. Thinking it was a
customer again, I cannot stress how real this spirit looked; I
looked up to ask what they needed help with.”
